SITUATED in the vibrant neighbourhood of Shepherd's Bush, West London, Catherine Wilman Interiors was entrusted with the design and project management of an opulent master bedroom and adjoining en suite bathroom. The goal was to balance family requirements with the clients' lively urban sensibilities.

Our team made the bold move of unifying the first-floor space, removing the archaic partition between the bedroom and bathroom. This allowed for the incorporation of a custom-made, panelled walk-in wardrobe that serves as a stylish transition between the master bedroom and en suite.

 

The wardrobe itself was meticulously crafted, with each section tailored to the client's specific storage needs. The room was finished in a rich, contrasting colour palette, and ceiling-height sliding doors were added for a touch of versatile elegance.

This Shepherd's Bush property is a showcase of design excellence, leveraging the classic, well-proportioned rooms typical of London terraces while injecting a dose of the dynamic young family's individual and quirky style. The parents desired luxurious details for their master bedroom and en suite without compromising the vibrant, urban essence that defines their London life.

To infuse an urban flair into the Victorian architecture, we exposed a large brick wall, adding texture and a sense of historical depth to the space. The project also leveraged the original high ceilings by installing imposing, tall doors that flood both the room and the adjacent hallway with natural light. This creates a transformative experience upon entering the luxurious suite, heightening the sense of space and grandeur.
