CRITTALL MEETS GEORGIAN

In the heart of Chelsea, Catherine Wilman Interiors transformed a cramped townhouse into a modern, family-focused home with Parisian flair, meticulously balancing aesthetic appeal and functionality through innovative spatial planning, competitive joinery tendering, and strategic high-end furniture selection.

The transformation of this townhouse not only enhances the home's aesthetics but also focuses on functionality, capturing the essence of a family-oriented design.

The project prioritised expansive living areas and abundant hidden storage, accommodating a family with young children. Spatial planning was meticulous; we designated separate zones for casual family gatherings and formal entertainment, exploiting the multi-level architecture to create clear divides.

Joinery commanded a significant share of the budget, necessitating a competitive tender process involving three suppliers and the main contractor. The client's understanding of the high-end FF&E costs allowed us to strategically select furniture that accentuated the home's architectural details and heritage, rather than overwhelming the space.

The result is a modern Chelsea home that brilliantly melds interior design with practical family living—much to our clients' delight.
